Bike rides along trails with a surprise around every corner. This is also the case in terms of weather, as while it rains more in the hills, the seaside tends to be drier, ensuring visitors can make the most of every ray of sunshine.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, when it comes to the difference between the eastern and western Algarve, the main one is the wind. The closer you get to Sagres \u2013 Europe\u2019s southwesternmost point \u2013 the windier it gets, which is great news for surfers! A popular destination in spring and autumn for those not so fond of the scorching sun, and the go-to place for those in search of some of Europe\u2019s (and the world&#8217;s) most beautiful beaches in summer, it is now becoming more and more popular as a winter getaway too.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Spring in the Algarve<\/b><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Though April showers sometimes hit the Algarve, when they do, it\u2019s in the shape of the occasional drizzle, which is unlikely to spoil your holiday. With temperatures averaging around 20 \u00b0C to 25 \u00b0C across the season, it\u2019s a lovely time to explore the hills to take in the region\u2019s abundant wildflowers and do some birdwatching.
